Need Some New Holiday Classics to Watch This Season? Look No Further!
December 24, 2015
Merry Christmas Eve!
Traveling and the rush of the holidays have taken a toll on my writing for the rest of the year...in that I have nothing new to post until 2016.
To make up for it, I give you this throwback to last year: my article for MovieMaker magazine online called "Not Another Christmas Movie: Five Alternative Classics to Watch This Year." Some of these selections are more well-known in the holiday sphere, while others simply take place during the season.
Nora and Nick Charles (Myrna Loy and William Powell) celebrate Christmas morning in The Thin Man. You bet this scene qualifies as one of my favorite movie scenes ever.
Yes, one of my favorites, The Thin Man (1934), tops this list. Watching this film is actually my own personal Christmas day tradition.
Perhaps one of these fine holiday selections will become your new tradition, or maybe some already are. Either way, I hope you enjoy!
thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy.
